combining isntruments

 Today I,ve watched a film about how to combine instruments so that the sounds suit each other. A lot of instruments can play rhytm and usually there is the one instrument which is playing lead part. Most often rhytm sounds are just chords. Every chord has his own bag of notes which suits him, so it is not rocket science to make music. When the lead instrument plays to the rhytm it is called solo. In rock music it almost always guitar solo and rhytm guitar at the background playing chords, so this is the reason why every rock band has as many guitars(to play solos).

We can see in this short film Joe welsh is soloing on his guitar to the background which is made by his band with using suitable chords to bag of notes which he is playing in one moment. In jazz we can see usually saxophone soiloing with the background that is given by lots of instruments.

Does theory mean anything?

 Today I have read the article about famous musicians who didn't study music theory. I can say that in rap it is daily basis, but in classical music or jazz it is absent. We can see a few examples of not studying music theory and being famous musician in rock and it is not easy to compose rock style. The most recognizable ranking of the guitarist on the first two places we have guitarist who never studied music theory and I consider this funny, but I think that in this list they rated them by looking at innovation, originality and artisty, so I think I would not be wrong if I say that theory music in some way limits your style and expression which you give to people by playing an instrument. theory in rap

 Rap is one of the easiest type of music to make, because you have to know completely nothing about music theory.
